Anglican/Episcopal Studies
We have developed a special program for Anglican/Episcopal students leading to the Degree, Bachelor of Divinity. We have use courses from Laud Hall Anglican Studies Courses and Agape Bible Institute. Admission to the program is restricted to mature students, with some college course completion, unless with special permission of faculty, and as well some experience as a church member. 60 credit hours of work are required. This program has been prepared for those seeking Ordination, but also would be helpful to those seeking further theological education. This course is basic Anglican/Episcopal Theology, however we take no position on the issue of form of prayer book, ordination of woman or celebration of the Eucharist facing east or the people. Those issues are for the student and the jurisdiction of the student. Those seeking Ordination with the IOCC (Anglican/Episcopal Rite) would be required to take additional work in Canon Law and Sacraments. Required Courses - 45 Credit Hours TH 302 - Introduction to the Old Testament - 6 cr hrs TH 304 - New Testament Survey - 6 cr hrs TH 460 - The Anglican Faith (I) (Text - Wilson) - 3 cr hrs TH 462 - The Anglican Faith (II) - 3 cr hrs TH 525 - Anglican Dogmatic Theology (Text - Moss) - 9 cr hrs TH 361 - Prayer (Scriptural Study on Prayer)- 3 cr hrs TH 714 - Stages of Spirituality (Scott Peck) - 3 cr hrs TH 391 - Scriptural Theology - 3 cr hrs TH 306 - The Life of Christ - 3 cr hrs TH 308 - The Life of Paul - 6 cr hrs Elective Courses - 15 Credit Hours HIST 504 - The Didache - 3 cr hrs HIST 505 - Apostolic Fathers - 3 cr hrs HIST 680 - Catholic Church - Historic Review (Hans Kung) - 6 cr hrs TH 606 - The Apocrypha - 9 cr hrs TH 599 - Independent Study of Selected Topic (in consultation with faculty) - 6 credit hours. Designed for the student who wishes to do independent work in a selected area for credit. HIST 599 - Independent Study in Church History (in consultation with faculty) - 6 credit hours Tuition and Fees Seminary - Registration, administration, graduation including diploma and transcript - Basic Fee - $600.00 Fees may be paid at once with application, or installment plans. (Often students send payments with lessons completed.) On receipt of application a Faculty Advisor will be assigned to a student, to monitor their progress and act in an advisory capacity.
